Documents that fall under the Public Information Act are generally printed/copied and provided to the requestor at $1.00 (one dollar) per page providing that “copy exact documents” is all the preparation involved in release. Documents that require redaction prior to release are charged at $2.00 (two dollars) per page. This cost covers the costs associated with consulting with legal counsel and copying both original files and redacted copies which is outside our normal course of business.
Record requests that include audio files will be provided on CDR discs at a cost of $5.00 (five dollars) per disc to cover the cost of the creation of the record, the cost of the disc and postage. Audio requests that require redaction prior to release are charged at $10.00 (ten dollars) per disc. This cost covers the costs associated with consulting with legal counsel and copying both original files and redacted copies which is outside our normal course of business.
Record requests for unusually large number of documents that adversely affect the daily operations of the district may require researching, locating, and copying documents after normal business hours and therefore, cause overtime.
